Staff members are aware of children with identified disabilities and can describe the unique learning needs of all children—not just those with disabilities. Staff members adapt learning experiences for children who need extra support or extra challenges. Staff members change the learning environment to meet the needs of individual children. Staff members change materials to meet the needs of individual children. Staff members change schedules or routines to meet the needs of individual children. Staff members ask for help when needed. Staff members work together with other members of a child’s team: specialists, families, etc. Staff members follow directions or guidelines based on a child’s IEP or IFSP. Staff members create a physical and social environment that welcomes all children and youth.
