Let’s continue shaping the vision you set in Lesson 1. In that activity, you set a vision for where you want your program to be in one year. Now we will think about the staff you need to help make that happen.

What steps do you need to take to continue mentoring current staff and recruit new staff, so your program’s goal is achieved? For example, who do you need to talk to about hiring practices in your facility?

1. Consider your current staff. What characteristics do they have that will help reach your program’s vision?

    

2. Imagine you are writing a position description for additional staff members. What words would you include to help you recruit staff members who can strengthen families and strengthen your team?
